Artsopolis WordPress Calendar Plugin

ABOUT THE PLUGIN

The Artsopolis WordPress Calendar Plugin is for use by Artsopolis Network member communities who have licensed our Content Syndication module. This plugin allows content partners to easily install, configure and display event calendar content from a local Artsopolis member website. Our plugin provides turn-key display and search features, as well as the ability to customize its design elements to better blend within a partner’s website design framework. Multiple internal calendar instances may be created within the plugin to allow for displaying different category type selections on more than one page of the partner’s website.

INSTALLATION & CONFIGURATION

Download and install the plugin:

  1. Download the plugin from this page (see above).
  2. Visit the ‘Plugins’ page within your website’s admin dashboard and select ‘Add Plugin’.
  3. Search for the ‘artsopolis-calendar’ zip file you downloaded to your local computer and upload the zip file your plugins page.
  4. Once installed, activate the ‘Artsopolis Calendar’ plugin from your Plugins page.

Basic configuration:

  1. Select the ‘Artsopolis Calendar’ tab on the left column of your admin panel.
  2. Select ‘Add New Calendar’.
  3. Enter a title for your calendar entry.
  4. Paste in the two content feed URLs into the ‘Event Feed URL’ and ‘Category Type Feed URL’ fields.*
  5. Save the plugin form.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the form and select any event category types you would like to include in this instance of the calendar.*
  7. Save the plugin form again.
  8. Copy the feed shortcode provided in the ‘Display Settings’ section of the configuration form.
  9. Paste the shortcode to the page you would like the calendar to display on.

* IMPORTANT! 

  • The two content feeds mentioned above can only be obtained from a licensed Artsopolis Network member.
  • At least ONE event category type must be selected for content to display on the calendar.
