Peninsula Youth Theatre seeks an experienced individual to manage the logistics and technical aspects of our productions, working in a fun and dynamic environment. This is a full-time salaried position reporting to the Executive Director. Salary will be commensurate with experience. RESPONSIBILITIES • Ensure that productions are completed safely, on time and in budget in keeping with PYT’s mission, values and vision. • Hire and supervise all contract production and technical staff and train in PYT procedures. • Create the master show schedule for productions including obtaining locations. • Supervise production volunteers and participants and serve as link between paid artistic staff and volunteers. • Create forms and processes that make the production process clear and simple for participants and their families and ensure good communication between production and other areas of the organization. • Provide staff support for the production committee. • Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of three years experience in theater production, preferably in production management or technical direction. • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal English communication skills. • Ability to work independently, to take initiative and participate as an effective team member. • Bachelor’s degree required or an additional four years of practical experience. • Computer proficiency required; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) necessary. • Strong writing skills. • Excellent organizational skills: Ability to multi-task, track multiple projects, meet deadlines and set priorities. • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required for production schedule. • Experience working with volunteers and children Email cover letter, resume and references to Karen Simpson, Executive Director at ksimpson@pytnet.org.
