Review/Comment
This brilliant comedy of modern English life has been produced in New York and on the road. It is a sophisticated play based on the idea that so long as a wife is supported by her husband it is up to her to be faithful to him, but if the husband is not faithful to her and if she supports herself she is entitled to lead her own life in her own way.

Although SCP has to deal with the challenges their venue poses they are able to pull off a worthy production of Proof. The actors have a clear understanding of their characters and bring the individual psychosis to life. There seemed to be some line issues with everyone but when there was an issue it was handled well. It will most certainly get better as the run continues. The program does not spell out the individual scenes so if one is not familiar with the show it may take a little time (not much) to realize that some scenes take place in a different time period. Why doesn't SCP perform at the black box at Willcox High? The quality of their productions would increase 10 fold and people may actually be able to find the theater. There isn't any signage at the Triton indicating where the show is actually taking place, I almost went to a wedding! Collapse

pleasant, but a little long compared to other snc player shows, the two daughters steal the show

this short, lighthearded, almost melodramatic play is not complex but certainly humorous. A handful of delightful performances standout in a production that is not polished, but doesn't need to be either. Silly yes, deep, no. Most reactions are over the top, but as long as you know going into this it's fluffy, I think you find it asmuing. Collapse

This was a wonderful night out at the theater - how exciting to see something like this in the SCP space. Congratulations to all involved - it's evident hearts were poured into this.

This was an ok play, not for the lack of talent but perhaps the story Snc players is a pleasant experience, for the most part. Again the actors, did fine, the play was ok. Snc plays can be funny, intense or just ok but my experience so far has been there is nothing like a live performance. I plan to see more performances. Collapse
