Emmy award winning Chicago native, Kathy Griffin, a multi-faceted performer with a rapid fire wit, is probably best known for her four-year stint on the NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan as Vickie Groener, Brooke Shields’ acerbic colleague. After moving west and joining the famed Los Angeles Groundlings comedy improvisational troupe, Kathy began building her resume with guest starring roles on such series as ER and Seinfeld where she created recurring character Sally Weaver. After her various TV guest spots, Kathy began gaining notice as a stand-up comedienne and landed her own HBO Half Hour Comedy Special. In 1998, HBO gave Kathy her own One-Hour Special, A Hot Cup of Talk. Kathy has supplied voices for characters on the animated series Dilbert and The Simpsons, and she appeared in a dual role on the X-Files as well as in Eminem’s video, The Real Slim Shady, which was co-directed by Dr. Dre.

Never being a front row fan, it was the best place to be for this performance in the newly renovated Mountain Winery. The concert began at dusk in a peaceful easy fashion, as if emerging from a meditation. As the sun set over the lovingly tended vineyard, the synergy of Mike Love,Bruce Johnston and the rest of the band co-mingled with the escalating energy of the multigenerational crowd. While the members who have passed or moved in their own directions are missed by those of us who were fans in the 60s, Mike, Bruce et al brought the sound effortlessly and on point. Standing in front dancing barefoot brought me back to my roots, reaffirming the essence of my youth, not in small part, the music of the Beach Boys. Mike love said it best when he addressed the near sold out crowd with the words of wisdom to have a cool head and a warm heart. My heart was warmed greatly as were the hearts of the crowd hearing the songs we have loved for decades, some for the first time. A must see concert! Collapse

I really like the produced music of Madeleine Peyroux but the live version was repetitive and eventually irritating. Her consistently off-key singing and out-of-kilter phrasing began to sound like a cat being swung 'round my head in irregular intervals. After 4 songs I had had enough. I'm glad I left when I did. Adding more wasted time and a crowded egress would have just added more regret to the money I wasted on this disappointing concert. And hey, hip Saratogans: A concert is not a living room event. Those around you are not interested in your non-stop commentary or in hearing your phone conversations. It's just rude. Collapse

It's a shame that they tell their fans to be quiet and that he can have them thrown out of the venue for screaming and partying with them. I think they have forgotten where they come from and just want to please the upper crust. I was at the Saratoga event and saw Huey threaten a couple fans who were there to rock and roll. I lost a lot of repect for them. Collapse

This was the best concert I have ever been to. Indie Arie had every member of her band sing a solo at some point during the concert and then she even brought people out of the crowd to sing on stage with her. She was so full of emotion and passion! Her lyrics are so positive and she has the best vibe on stage ever. She received several standing ovations during the night. Collapse

The show was great! I have been a Pat Benatar for a very long time and she has become a family icon. I grew up listening to her and was very excited to see for the first time. The only disappointing factor was the fact that she didn't play songs like Whethering Heights, My Clone sleeps alone, Rated X, and Don't let it show. She didn't even sing "Get Nervous" or "It's a little too late". Very Disappointed about the song list. I drove 3 hours for the show and walked away not hearing my favorite songs. I had front row seats and it was a like a dream come true for me. I tried to get her to autograph a picture that I purchased at the concert but that didn't go very well. I was 4 years old when her first CD came out and I'm proud to say that I have followed her since then. Why won't she sing these songs? The show was still good and her voice still sounds amazing. I'm glad I went and got my opportunity to see her in concert. Collapse

Chris Isaak put on another great show at the Mountain Winery Saturday night. Well paced show, with great performances by the entire band. Chris had plenty of fun with the audience, from his usual humorous "story-telling" to visiting his fans throughout the arena while singing. Great voice (with a range and sound reminiscent of Roy Orbison) and plenty of good guitar playing. Always a good show! Collapse

This was the 3rd year in a row we saw Chris in Saratoga. I like his humor, but there was too much fooling around, like him running around speaking Spanish in a masked action figure outfit. Music was good, but too many songs with first act Ron Thompson. The two songs with his brother Nick were plenty also. Chris was polite and shook all five of our family's hand while signing a picture for my 9 year old. When time wears off I will probably go next year. Collapse

I've seen Chris Isaak & The Silvertones at the Mountain Winery for the last four years. They're completely entertaining, from the music itself to their on-stage antics, dialogue, and ad-libbing. The band's musicianship is top notch. They all look like they're truly having a great time performing, and it shows. It has an infectious effect on the audience (especially the ladies, who seem to simultaneously ovulate when Chris starts to croon). The performance this year was, as always, excellent. I'd give it six stars if I could. Always love the Cheap Trick cover ("I Want You To Want Me"). The band's interaction with the crowd is great as well. Chris always makes a point of walking off stage and through the audience - and the crowd eats it up. The Mountain Winery itself is a wonderful venue. Chris & Co. really know how to work it there. Save your money for next year's show. It's not to be missed. Collapse

Heart opened their show under the full moon with the hit song " Crazy ON You".Nancy Wilson did the acoustic intro which soon exploded into good electric full band awesome rock and roll.Ann Wilson is TRULY THE BEST FEMALE SINGER I have EVER heard. The two wilson singers together sent absolute chills down my spine! They played no less than 3 Led Zeppelin songs which brought everyone in the theater to a standing ovation everytime. The band is tight with the drummer never missing a beat. The keyboardist really enjoyed adding all the special sounds that make their live performance sound exactly like the record. Nancy looked up at the beautiful full moon above our heads and made reference to it several times. The weather was warm and perfect just like the sets they played.Dont miss heart!! Collapse
