    Join the Burlingame Parks & Recreation Department for the 2008 Music in the Park Series!

    Families can enjoy FREE music every Sunday in July at beautiful Washington Park located behind the Burlingame Recreation Center. Concerts attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and can enjoy treats and lunch items from the YAC sponsored BBQ booth or bring their own picnic lunch. Concerts begin at 1pm and last approximatley two hours.

    Please note: Alcohol is prohibited at these events. BBQ lunch items, snacks and beverages available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Burlingame Youth Advisory Committee.

    July 6 - Oscar Reynolds, Bolivian Afro-Peruvian Trio

    A leading advocate of his native country’s music, Bolivian-born Oscar Reynolds is an accomplished composer, internationally-acclaimed Andean flute master, guitarist, flute-maker, recording engineer, and lawyer from the Andes mountains of La Paz. Performing around the world for four decades, he is recognized for playing the Bolivian pan flutes and guitar simultaneously. The San Francisco Observer says, “Any flute player would marvel at the tight control over each note Reynolds displays while packing a stream of emotions into his complex scale runs, but to see him do that and play the guitar is quite impressive.”
